The Apostle John wrote about the incredible glory that he saw in Jesus. He said that the disciples saw him in all of this glory “full of grace and truth.” What was so glorious about Jesus was this beautiful mix of grace and truth. He never compromised the truth, but at the same time ministered abundant grace to people who were hurting. He talked to the Samaritain woman at the well when no one else would talk with her because of her reputation. He knew the truth about her, but he invited her to partake in his grace. Later even spent time in her village.
We are a small and diverse church. We all have one thing in common, we are all people who have been touched by the grace of Jesus Christ. He came to us when we did not deserve it and showed us the way to abundant life. We are still growing in our walk with Him, but we celebrate that Jesus makes us clean before the Father! We celebrate the work he is doing in us, that “…we all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory…” 2 Corinthians 3:18 (CSB)
The statement of purpose for the Grace Baptist Church is that worship be vital and meaningful; that the gospel be proclaimed with the intention that we reach lost souls for Christ; that we further educate believers in the faith, giving special emphasis to the doctrines of the church; that we minister to the community in the name of Jesus Christ and seek to bear witness of Him by ministering to those who have needs.
